ASELSAN has signed an export contract worth USD 442.5 million with an unnamed international customer for radar, counter-drone and command-and-control systems, the Turkish defence electronics company told the Borsa Istanbul public disclosure platform (KAP) on Friday 23 October 2026.

What ASELSAN disclosed

The KAP filing, published at 11:07 Turkish time, describes the agreement as a new business relationship with an “international customer” covering the supply of radar, counter-UAV and command-and-control systems, with a total value of USD 442.5 million. Anadolu Agency reported the same figures. The filing does not name the customer or its country, and gives no delivery schedule, contract duration or breakdown of the systems involved.

The disclosure records a signed contract, not deliveries. MENA Defence is not speculating on the identity of the buyer; we will update this report if ASELSAN or a customer government names the user.

The systems involved

ASELSAN markets a family of air defence radars, counter-drone systems and command-and-control networks that are designed to be combined into layered air defence; our guide to ASELSAN air defence and counter-UAS systems sets out the main products. The company has recently been testing new systems at home, including the SİPER Ürün-2 in-flight retargeting test.

Regional context

Demand for counter-drone and short-range air defence has grown across Africa and the Middle East as low-cost attack drones have spread to conflicts from Sudan to Yemen. ASELSAN equipment is already in service with several African forces, as set out in our overview of Turkish systems in African armed forces, and Turkish suppliers have been active in North Africa, including Morocco. For the company’s background, see our ASELSAN profile.

This report covers a disclosure made on 23 October 2026 and is published two days later.
