USV-12 Launches SAGAN UAV Autonomously as HAVELSAN Networks Türkiye’s Unmanned Fleet at TURNAs-2026
An unmanned surface vessel launching its own drone, an armed USV behaving like part of a warship’s combat system, and more than 40 vehicles managed on a single picture: these were HAVELSAN’s main contributions to Türkiye’s National Unmanned Naval Systems Exercise-2026 (TURNAs-2026), where the company brought together national command-and-control, autonomy and video-management capabilities.
Sea to air: USV-12 and the SAGAN UAV
USV-12, an unmanned surface vessel developed by HAVELSAN in cooperation with VN Deniz Teknolojileri, successfully performed the autonomous launch of the SAGAN UAV it carries. It then fired non-explosive training munitions at a simulated coastal target.
The serial showed how naval and air elements can be employed together with flexibility: the USV served both as a platform in its own right and as a launch point for an aerial asset.

SANCAR SİDA as part of the ship’s combat system
Equipped with the ADVENT ROTA mission system, SANCAR SİDA contributed reconnaissance, surveillance and target reporting to the tactical naval picture. Integrated with the ADVENT Combat Management System via Network Enabled Capability, the armed USV demonstrated that it can operate as an organic element of its main ship.

ADVENT COP and VMS: the network behind the fleet
The Joint Operational Picture, ADVENT COP, made available through cooperation between HAVELSAN and the Turkish Naval Forces Command, was one of the most critical capabilities of the exercise. It brought together more than 40 naval, air, land and underwater vehicles in a common picture, combining scenario-based tasking with position, status and telemetry information so that different unmanned systems could be managed as a coordinated force.
HAVELSAN’s Unmanned Vehicles Video Management System (VMS) provided live video from more than 30 unmanned vehicles on a shared infrastructure, while the Web-Based Tactical Maritime Picture (TALAY) gave access to the tactical naval picture. Over the TURNAs network built jointly by HAVELSAN and the Naval Forces Command, the Tactical Control Centre and the Distinguished Observers’ Area followed every activity in the field in real time.

| Platform / system | Domain | Role at TURNAs-2026 |

Naval Forces Commander’s assessment
Commander of the Turkish Naval Forces Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu visited the Tactical Control Centre established by HAVELSAN and the Naval Research Center Command (ARMERKOM) and reviewed the infrastructure on site. After receiving detailed information on the combined use of elements across different operating environments through ADVENT, Tatlıoğlu stated that HAVELSAN had successfully undertaken the most critical role in the exercise by building the joint operational picture, and thanked the HAVELSAN team.

Bringing the Naval Forces Command’s operational experience together with HAVELSAN’s national engineering know-how, TURNAs prepared the ground for manned and unmanned elements to operate jointly in the Blue Homeland.
