Turkish defence industry organisations are taking part in AFRIDEX 2026, which opened in Lagos, Nigeria, where new export and technology cooperation will be discussed. Reports mention nine organisations; we could confirm that SSB, ASELSAN, TUSAŞ, HAVELSAN, MKE and STM are taking part.

About the Show

The African International Defence Exhibition, AFRIDEX 2026, runs October 26-29 in Lagos. More than 500 companies and over 20,000 visitors are expected.

Turkish Presence

Türkiye is represented by a pavilion including SSB, ASELSAN, TUSAŞ, HAVELSAN, MKE and STM. ASELSAN invited visitors to its stand 2110. STM (stand 2112) will present its Replenishment and Logistics Support Ship, İstif-class frigate and MPAC fast attack craft, along with the KARGU, TURUL VTOL, KUZGUN and TOGAN unmanned aerial systems.

Why Nigeria?

One of Africa’s most populous countries, Nigeria is an export market for Turkish defence products. The show gives Turkish firms access to buyers in West Africa and across the continent.

Note

Participant counts differ between sources; for STM’s six-show programme see our report.
